The small town of Arzachena is situated in the northern part of Sardinia, in the Gallura region. It is dominated by an enormous mushroom-shaped granite rock.
Arzachena and its surroundings constitute one of the most representative and famous landscapes of Sardinia, i.e. the Costa Smeralda, and offers amazing natural beauties, characterised by a luxuriant Mediterranean maquis, multiform rocks moulded by nature, white sand beaches and crystal clear seas, dotted with rocky promontories and small islands
The Giants’ Graves
The Giants’ Graves (Le Tombe dei Giganti in Italian) are characteristic funeral monuments of the Nuraghe civilisation. They were collective tombs that could be used for a large number of burials.
